ND FFA Foundation to Take Part in Giving Tuesday

The North Dakota FFA Foundation will participate in Giving Tuesday on Tuesday, November 27th with the goal of raising $1,127.00 for scholarships, member opportunities and agricultural education programming.

Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday seeks to inspire people and organizations to collaborate and give back. The online day of giving referred to, on social media networks, as #GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and the worldwide celebration of generosity.

For non-profit organizations like the ND FFA Foundation, their ability to carry out their mission is dependent on the support of the communities they serve, making #GivingTuesday a naturally important day for the Foundation. “Giving Tuesday is a day we look forward to and are very thankful for,” says Tamra Maddock, Executive Director of the ND FFA. “While we are always appreciative of the generous support we see year-round, the one-day nature of this campaign adds an element of excitement and allows us to reach new audiences.”

To reach their goal of raising $1,127 on 11/27, the ND FFA Foundation has created an engaging campaign asking for single donations of $11.27. “It’s simple, we want to find 100 people to donate $11.27 on 11/27,” Maddock says.  “Of course, as a donor, you could donate more or less, too!”
