ND FFA Foundation opens applications for Blue Jackets Bright Futures

The North Dakota FFA Foundation has opened applications for their program, Blue Jackets Bright Futures. The program provides corduroy jackets to members who may not have the financial resources and/or to those who have displayed and demonstrated leadership and personal growth.

Each jacket given through this program is sponsored by a donor. With a $74 contribution, any individual or organization can become a jacket sponsor. The recipients of this program will receive the iconic blue corduroy jacket in January 2019 at the Winter Leadership Conferences in Bismarck.

In 2018, a total of 260 jackets were given to members across the state.  Of the 84 chapters in North Dakota, 62 had members receive a jacket.

“We are fortunate to have a program like Blue Jackets Bright Futures, and it is only possible because of generous contributions from our supporters,” Says Tamra Maddock, Executive Director for the ND FFA Foundation. “Last year, the program received over 320 applications and was able to provide 260 jackets, and we’re hoping to be able to give more this year.”

Current ND FFA members can apply for the Blue Jackets Bright Futures program at NDFFAFoundation.com/applications. All applications are due November 6th.
