Monthly Foundation Update: September 2018

Updates and news from the North Dakota FFA Convention as of October 1, 2018.
  1. Blue Jackets Bright Futures Applications remain open until November 6th.  The Foundation has already received over 40 applications on its new online platform!  You can find the application here.

2.  14 American Degree Nominees have requested travel stipends to attend the National FFA Convention to receive their degree!

3.  Andrew attended North Dakota Petroleum Council’s Annual Meeting in Fargo.

4.  Tam attended and spoke at the ND Building Trades Union Annual Conference.  The ND Building Trades Union is a 1-Star Partner of the Foundation.

5.  The annual silent auction at Big Iron Farm Show raised nearly $800 for the MN and ND FFA Foundations.

6.  The Foundation launched “Coffee with the Corduroy” at this year’s Big Iron to visit with our many sponsors.  A thank-you goes out to the Red River Farm Network for hosting the ND FFA again this year.

7.  District Leadership Conferences are wrapping up and the state Parliamentary Procedure CDE will be hosted next week on Monday in Bismarck.

8.  Next Foundation Board Meeting: Monday, November 12th

9.  Center FFA Chapter has been nominated for two award categories as a National Premier Chapter!  We wish them luck!  Click here to read more about their nominations.

11.  SAE Grants are online at FFA.org. The online application process opened Sept. 5 and closes at 8:00 p.m. EST on Nov 15. Visit ndffa.co/SAEGrants2018 for more information and to apply.​
