This year, Dennis Walsh, Chief Credit Officer at First International Bank & Trust, received the Odin Award. Walsh, a former ND FFA Foundation Board Member with a personal connection to FFA chose our Foundation to receive the award funds. The Walsh’s personally contributed $5,000, which was matched by the bank, resulting in a total gift of $15,000. Read about their long term initiative here.
The South Prairie FFA Chapter recently received significant recognition at the North Dakota FFA State Convention held at North Dakota State University. The chapter participated in various events, earning multiple awards. Highlights include the Milk Quality Team and Small Animal Care Team, both of which secured third-place gold awards. The chapter also received accolades such as the Gold Superior Chapter, Gold National Chapter, and Premier Superior Chapter for their efforts in activities like life skills workshops and agricultural safety days (Minot Daily News).

A student from Richland 44, Eric Moen, has captured the spotlight with his innovative Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project, focusing on wildlife production and management.
