Kiss the animal- 5 Volunteer teachers- Students and staff can donate money
towards the one teacher they think that they want to see kiss the baby animal.
Updates will be given during the announcements to which teacher is in the lead
except on Friday.

We are also doing a presentation for cattle, and how that affects our life as
well -- information for the cattle presentation from the N.D. Beef Commission.

k-4 will be doing coloring contests of some type of Ag Picture Grades 5-6 will
be doing a general knowledge quiz dealing with FFA and Agriculture
We are also hoping to have an assembly in both schools where we will be having
like an ag olympics with games such as wheelbarrow race, three legged race,
potato sack race...etc.

I forgot to mention that FFA members are going to do
the afterschool tutoring program for the week from 3:45 - 6:00.
This involves helping students with home work and fun activities in the shop. We
are also planning to do our farm safety for 2nd & 5th grade students (ABC's
of Safety) from Farm Bureau.

The
Hettinger FFA chapter is having Ag trivia all week. Students can answer
questions and the student with the most correct answers will get a personal pan
pizza. We are also having Agriculture facts over the announcements along with a
hat and sucker day on Friday. We are also having a breakfast on Monday and a
lunch on Friday for FFA members

Also, on Wednesday we are hosting a community-wide pie social at the senior
center. FFA members are asked to sign up to bring a pie and/or work at the pie
social. On Tuesday afternoon our officers are going over to the grade school to
teach each of the grades. We will either be making butter or ice cream.
Last hour on Thursday everyone in the school participates in the Ag Olympics in
the gym. We have games like barrel racing, board sawing and nail pounding,
tractor tricycle driving, and relay races.
KEYZ
radio in Williston is running spots recognizing area chapters.
We are working on going to the radio station for a live interview but do
not have that finalized yet.
Wyndmere
Tuesday: Official Dress Day, 5th
Grade Farm Safety, Cheese ID in High School, Seed ID for the Elementary, Cake
and Pie Social for staff followed by a demonstrational monthly meeting.
Wednesday:
Dress like a "hick" day, Ice Cream Demonstration for 4th
graders, FFA presentation for 6th grade, Dog Breed ID for the High School, and
Tool ID for the Elementary.
Thursday:
Mimic an officer day, Cow Breed ID for High School, and Farm Equipment ID
for Elementary.
Friday:
Blue and Gold Day, Wear a hat to school by donating a dollar, Farm Safety
for 2nd grade, Meat cut ID for High School, Real/Artificial testing for
elementary, and an all-school assembly during the last hour of the day to hand
out awards and conduct a boutonnière making contest.
Our superintendent and principal will be wearing animal costumers for the
duration of the assembly.
All
throughout the week there will be an on-going scavenger hunt for the FFA emblem
and guessing the number of seeds in a jar ranging from corn to flax.
There will also be a coloring contest for the elementary and a general
Ag/FFA Quiz for the upper elementary.

This year for
National FFA Week, the Enderlin Chapter is doing several activities. We are
having dress up days Tuesday through Friday. Tuesday is "Case" or Red
Day. Wednesday is "John Deere" or Green and Yellow Day. Thursday is
Farmer/Rancher Day. And, Friday is Official Dress or Blue and Gold Day. We are
also having an ice cream social on Saturday during the boys basketball game. We
have several contests throughout the week as well.
We are also trying something new this year. We are going to have a member
of the chapter read some FFA facts during the morning announcements.
