o       Are You Smarter than an FFA Officer? Skit (7th Period with Kissing of the Animal)
Kiss the animal- 5 Volunteer teachers- Students and staff can donate money towards the one teacher they think that they want to see kiss the baby animal. Updates will be given during the announcements to which teacher is in the lead except on Friday.

Grenora FFA Chapter

We are also doing individual displays of North Dakota grown products that we are #1 in producing and Ag Olympics
We are also doing a presentation for cattle, and how that affects our life as well -- information for the cattle presentation from the N.D. Beef Commission.

 

Des Lacs/Burlington
Monday-Friday Dress up days (farmer day, Blue and gold Day/Official Dress day, Into the future Day and so on)
Every day we will also be doing a riddle that describes an ag tool where that tool will be hidden around the school and the first one to find that tool and bring the tool to me will recieve a prize on Friday when we have our assembly
Tuesday we are having a banana split socialization for all Burlington Staff

Grades k-4 will be doing coloring contests of some type of Ag Picture Grades 5-6 will be doing a general knowledge quiz dealing with FFA and Agriculture
We are also hoping to have an assembly in both schools where we will be having like an ag olympics with games such as wheelbarrow race, three legged race, potato sack race...etc.   

Maddock:
Appreciation Pie social for the Maddock Staff, School Board, & Advisory Council
Barnyard Day for students and area schools

I forgot to mention that FFA members are going to do the afterschool tutoring program for the week from 3:45 - 6:00.
This involves helping students with home work and fun activities in the shop. We are also planning to do our farm safety for 2nd & 5th grade students (ABC's of Safety) from Farm Bureau.

Hettinger
The Hettinger FFA chapter is having Ag trivia all week. Students can answer questions and the student with the most correct answers will get a personal pan pizza. We are also having Agriculture facts over the announcements along with a hat and sucker day on Friday. We are also having a breakfast on Monday and a lunch on Friday for FFA members

Kindred
-Full-page ad in the local newspaper
-Numerous radio spots recorded by the Kindred FFA Chapter Officers with Lyle Romine of the Ag America network
-”Serve cake and Ice Cream to School children at noon on Friday

Bismarck
Tuesday: "These boots were made for walking."  Show off your favorite pair of boots.
Wednesday:  Western Wednesday.  Wear your best Western attire.

Friday:            Farmer Friday.  Dress like a farmer.   

Towner
Monday: Cherry Pie Social at the cattle expo

A coloring contest and Daily door prizes will also take place.

Towner is going to have our pie social in conjunction with the beef production show on Monday.  Tuesday and Wed we will be having dress up days.  Tues is hillbilly/redneck day,   Wed is pajama day.  We are also doing a coloring contest for grades kindergarten thru senior and we are hiding a small toy John Deere tractor and having students find it.  Prizes will be given out to the winners.

Powers Lake

Friday- Rancher Day  (first day of District BB for the boys)
Also, on Wednesday we are hosting a community-wide pie social at the senior center. FFA members are asked to sign up to bring a pie and/or work at the pie social. On Tuesday afternoon our officers are going over to the grade school to teach each of the grades. We will either be making butter or ice cream.
Last hour on Thursday everyone in the school participates in the Ag Olympics in the gym. We have games like barrel racing, board sawing and nail pounding, tractor tricycle driving, and relay races.

KEYZ radio in Williston is running spots recognizing area chapters.  We are working on going to the radio station for a live interview but do not have that finalized yet.

 

Wyndmere
Tuesday:  Official Dress Day, 5th Grade Farm Safety, Cheese ID in High School, Seed ID for the Elementary, Cake and Pie Social for staff followed by a demonstrational monthly meeting.

Wednesday:  Dress like a "hick" day, Ice Cream Demonstration for 4th graders, FFA presentation for 6th grade, Dog Breed ID for the High School, and Tool ID for the Elementary.

Thursday:  Mimic an officer day, Cow Breed ID for High School, and Farm Equipment ID for Elementary.

Friday:  Blue and Gold Day, Wear a hat to school by donating a dollar, Farm Safety for 2nd grade, Meat cut ID for High School, Real/Artificial testing for elementary, and an all-school assembly during the last hour of the day to hand out awards and conduct a boutonnière making contest.  Our superintendent and principal will be wearing animal costumers for the duration of the assembly.

All throughout the week there will be an on-going scavenger hunt for the FFA emblem and guessing the number of seeds in a jar ranging from corn to flax.  There will also be a coloring contest for the elementary and a general Ag/FFA Quiz for the upper elementary.

Enderlin
This year for National FFA Week, the Enderlin Chapter is doing several activities. We are having dress up days Tuesday through Friday. Tuesday is "Case" or Red Day. Wednesday is "John Deere" or Green and Yellow Day. Thursday is Farmer/Rancher Day. And, Friday is Official Dress or Blue and Gold Day. We are also having an ice cream social on Saturday during the boys basketball game. We have several contests throughout the week as well.
  We are also trying something new this year. We are going to have a member of the chapter read some FFA facts during the morning announcements.  

Williston FFA
We are doing PSA's for the radio that will be aired during the week

A Cherry pie social for businesses and school staff
A live radio interview with officers and members one morning during the week
A FFA/agriculture quiz given to all high school students
Other daily activities during the week.  

Mandan
Monday - Parents appreciation pizza party and degree ceremony
Tuesday - Red, White, and Blue day, (For dress-up)
Wednesday - Cowboy/Western Day
Thursday - Outdoorsman day, 3rd Annual FFA Talent Show (7:00pm)
Friday - Teacher appreciation Pie and Ice cream social (2:40 - 4:00)

Minot
Tuesday - PALS at the 5 CLC programs; teaching about recycling
Wednesday - Rootbeer floats - 50 cents or free with a can food item
Thursday - Annual pie and ice cream social
Friday - Alumni grill for FFA Students

Berthold
Celebrating FFA Week in April

Garrison  
Wednesday: Official Dress day with a pie and ice cream social for area businesses, alumni, and faculty with a short quiz to see if they know their FFA trivia
Thursday: Sports jersey day with our Mini-Chapter meetings during Ag. Class
Friday: FFA Apparel day with our 3rd annual Ag Olympics

Washburn
K-3rd grade - We are having a coloring contest.
4-6th grade - We are doing an Ag. Trivia competition.
7-12th grade - We are having a seed guessing contest.
Teachers and Business People - Ice Cream and Pie Social on Thursday.
Senior officers also did a radio interview with KHRT Radio out of Minot.
