ND FFA Alumni Association Meeting

                            Wahpeton, McClusky, Garrison, Minot, Elgin, Steve Zimmerman, and

                             Emily Mattwick

Meeting was called to order by Vice-President Rod Romereim.

AGENDA ITEM : Minutes of last meeting read and approved as read.

AGENDA ITEM :  Treasurers Report: Checking:  $1269.93,  Savings (Gaming Account) $3557.05. Need To Transfer $1500.00 to checking for WLS Scholarships,  CD  #77735--$1029.50,  CD  # 77505-- $1067.26,   CD  #77716--$8309.35    Lenny moved to accept treasurers report,   Tom S. second  motion Carried

President Tom Ross took charge of the meeting.

OLD  BUSINESS:

AGENDA ITEM :  Chapter Presidents Conference.

Emily Mattwick ND FFA State Secretary gave a very positive report on the conference. Twenty-one FFA Chapters were represented. No bill presented at this time.

AGENDA ITEM :  ND FFA Alumni Raffle

A report was given by Rod, Lenny and Larry. It was presented that we need to sell about 600 tickets to break even. Grand prize is a  2007 Polaris 450 Sportsmen ,  2^nd  prize--270 Savage Rifle-stainless steel barrel, synthetic stock, 3 X 9 X 40 scope,   3^rd prize-- 870 Remington Express Magnum Shotgun, synthetic stock, stainless steel barrel,  4^th, 5^th, 6^th, prize--$100.00 cash,  7^th prize is a gun case donated by Scheels Sports to be given. Drawing will be held January 5^th, 2008 @ 12:00 noon, in Bismarck. Ticket price is $15.00.  A $2.00 per ticket kick back to affiliates, for each ticket sold, providing all tickets and money are returned to Secretary by DECEMBER 1, 2007.

NEW  BUSINESS:

AGENDA ITEM:   National FFA Alumni Auction

Lenny moved to give an item for the auction and to spend up to $100.00, Rod second motion carried.  After much discussion it was decided to do a Pride of North Dakota Basket. Tom will be working on getting the products.

AGENDA ITEM:  Scholarships to affiliates selling raffle tickets

Discussion was held on giving a cash reward to affiliates in a drawing for those who sell a  predetermined number of raffle tickets, in addition to the $2.00 kickback, from each ticket sold. Myron moved to have 4--$200.00 scholarships given in a drawing for affiliates selling 40 or more tickets. Lenny second.  Motion carried.  Need to have all tickets and money returned by December 1, 2007 to qualify for drawing.

AGENDA ITEM:  Trivia Quiz and Scavenger Hunt during MFE, ALD, and Green hand Conference.  Rod moved to give $280.00 in cash prize money. Tom S. second.  Motion carried

AGENDA ITEM:  Appreciation for Vo-Ag  Teachers. Discussion was held on having an appreciation  luncheon or something for the vo-ag teachers. Best time suggested was in August at their conference in  Bismarck. Will have more discussion at the January meeting.

NEXT MEETING:  January  5^TH , 2008  at the Ramkota in Bismarck @  9:00am registration,  10:00 am business meeting.
